The List - September 2013

PC games worthy of mention for this month, ordered by my interest. (Monthly US releases are only estimated, game may end up all hype and really suck).

TAKEDOWN: Red Sabre - shooter
Did you like Rainbow Six and Swat 4?  If so, this game brings back the basic coop tactical gameplay.  Originally started as a Kickstarter.  The graphics do look aged, but hopefully the gameplay will make it shine.

Total War: Rome II - strategy
The best Total War (Rome) gets an updated sequel.  Can lightning strike twice?

Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure - puzzle
This is a kids game.  Don't play it if you over 8.  My daughter loved Unlimited, and she loves super heroes, so this is a win win.

Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs - survival horror
I really like the original, reminded me of what a survival horror should be.  Here's hoping for more scares.

ARMA 3 - shooter
Did that ARMA dev ever get out of that Greek jail...doesn't matter, show must go on.  Hopefully the interface is improved.

MechWarrior Online - shooter
Finally, the grand daddy of Mech Games is out of Beta.  F2P model may discourage gamers.

Outlast - survival horror
The small developers are really nailing the horror genera.  Here's another psychological horror, done on a small scale.
