All your Bases belong to...

...Electronic Arts!

Well, that's how it seems. EA is currently acquiring developers Pandemic Studios and BioWare. Which bring them to a ridiculous amount of company gobbling. Think of EA as the General Motors of the video gaming world. While GM has its flagship Chevy, EA has its flagship Madden. But what many don't realize are many are EA's other products. Since this is a Computer Gaming blog, here are some significant company gobbling EA has done , the year, and some titles associated with the companies. For a console related list, go Wiki EA (which EA was caught red handed modifying).

Distinctive Software '91
Test Drive (Need for Speed) Series

Origin '92
Wing Commander Series, Ultima Series

Bullfrog Productions '95
Populous, Dungeon Keeper

Maxis '97
Sims Series

Westwood Studios '98
Eye of the Beholder, C&C Series

Dreamworks Interactive '00
Undying, Medal of Honor Series

Digital Illusions CE (DICE) '06
Pinball Illusions, Battlefield Series

BioWare '07
KotOR, Baldur's Gate

Pandemic Studios '07
Full Spectrum Warrior

I should note that there are other large parent companies doing the same thing as EA (much like how there are other car companies). I may explore these in future articles.
