Hard Times for AMD

Its look like hard times are ahead for AMD. This is most unfortunate news for a computer gamer. AMD has been a prime choice for me for the last 10 years of custom building gaming rigs. They have rarely let me down, kept things affordable, and gave an alternative to an monopoly Intel could have.

Unfortunately, this seems to have all changed when they made the mistake buying ATI. What looked like potential for an awesome seamless combo of power, has turned into mostly hot air and lost promises, as Nvidia continued to one-up ATI. Now the article is implying outsourcing, cutbacks, and other pleasantries for AMD. This generally means decrease in product value.

Although, I'm not willing to give up hope on AMD just yet, it would seem, I'll have to begin researching Intel with increased seriousness from now on.
