The List - November '08

PC games worthy of mention for this month, ordered by interest and I explain why.
(Monthly US releases are only estimated).

Last major round for this year. The selection does not upset.

Left4Dead - TPS
Valve gives us a 4 player coop engine that rides a story about zombies vs humankind. Looks intense. Expect many mods to keep this game alive for a very long time.

Call of Duty: World at War - FPS
Although developed by the lesser liked CoD group Treyarch, they may actually get it right this time. Taking much inspiration from CoD4, CoD:WaW adds 4 player coop to freshen up the WWII environment.

Neverwinter Nights 2: Storm of Zehir - RPG
2nd expansion to NWN2. This expansion introduces the usual new classes, feats, and magic. Also includes ability to start with 4 custom characters, dialogue that you can choose who speaks, and terrain traveling (which may be fun at first, but become tedious over time).

Need for Speed: Undercover - Driving Sim
Driving sims are fun, but only if you do multiplay right. ie, live action with none of that ghost or time crap, and allow more then 4 players. NfS adds cops vs robbers mode.
[Reviews have been poor]

Tomb Raider Underworld - TPS
Lara Croft + new video card = oh la la. Course that only lasts for a few minutes before I want an actual game with a camera that works. Will they finally get it right this time.
