You've gotta take Gamespot's opinions lightly, ever since they were suspected of firing a reviewer for slamming a game that had shoveled funding to them for advertising. But, I gotta admit, they had the most interesting layout and presentation. They broke down their awards into multiple categories, so I'll do the same for them...
Genera (fighter, shooter, best of the year)
PC - 6
X360 - 6
PS3 - 6
Wii - 2
Again another tie for the major players! I'm starting to think these lists are all the same, or the selection/creativity really sucked in 2008.
Special Achievement (best sound, art, etc)
PC - 13
Ps3 - 16
X360 - 12
Wii - 4
Well, they certainly loved Metal Gear Solid 4. Wonder how much revenue Gamespot received from them. More interesting to not is the PC one-uped X360.
Dubious (worst game, worst use of license, etc)
This is a bit unique, I've opted to give a point to each platform that did not have that dubious title as an option. So the highest points are good.
PC - 3
X360 - 2
PS3 - 2
Wii -1
I know what your thinking... Its not fair the PC won, because the publisher would have never made the game for them. Yet, it was the Wii that had the most dubiest games, that's the same Wii that seems to be lacking in 2008 titles and lives on the bottom of all the charts. The same Nintendo that has the strictest censoization of titles. Besides, PC has the largest library (thanks to indie and casual gaming) than any other platform.
