Developing console games

Here's a good reason console games will never out pace a PC. IGN had stamped the rumors about Gears of War availability on the PC. But in doing so, an Epic Games representitive quoted: "...You know console games are developed on PCs, right? Even if we never release Gears of War on PC we still need to run the game on PC to develop and test content for it."

Makes sense, but more proof that the only thing hold Computer gamers back, are the publishers and their money grubbing exclusive contracts.
