Death 2 E3

At this point, every game site I've looked at, has pretty much written off E3 as dead. I find this interesting, considering the Big 3 (Microsoft Xbox (not windows), Sony, and Nintendo) all showed up this year. So how can you have the big 3 of gaming platforms under the same roof, and still say E3 is dead? Well, perhaps...just perhaps, it was missing some of the major PC/cross platform gaming publishers today, such as Blizzard, Activision, and 2K. Without publisher support, the consoles are dead, hence E3 is dead. The companies that make consoles can't keep the buzz going long enough to sustain E3. Its like buying a blue ray player, just to find out you can't rent any Blue ray movies in your area, or if you can, you have to pay more. They need publishers, which means throwing more money at publishers. The PC gaming market, throws $0.00 to publishers. Instead developers, and publishers (get this) voluntailly produce games for the PC. No exclusive big money contracts, no under the table deals. E3 can survive, if they concentrait on the games, and less on the Big 3.

Just to show, how much the Big 3 cared about E3, Microsoft held a confrence the following week to announce DirectX 11, and the changes to their online service Windows LIVE. So, in conclusion, to make E3 work, the big 3 should stay home, and make room for the games. If one Publisher out flashes another, so be it. That would mean the losing Publisher would have to come back stronger the following year, and take more risks.
