IGN 2008 Awards

Okay, this is the last one of these: IGN had a mix of unique category awards and traditional.

PS3: 16
PC: 13
X360: 12
Wii: 6

Here's another case where Metal Gear Solid and LittleBigPlanet and Rock Band put the PS3 over everyone else. The Wii gets maybe its highest points, due to World of Goo and Rock Band.

A note worthy observation: its often criticized that the PC get in the top of the list because they have MMOs exclusives. Yet with the IGN awards, not a single award went to an MMO. They didn't even have an MMO category (yet they had Best Local multiplayer, go figure). So even without the MMOs for the PC, it still edged out the X360.

This should be the end of the 2008 awards listings, I just hope we've seen the last of the Best Music/Rhythm Category. To have a category, there should at least be more than 2 brands qualifying.
