The List - September 2010

PC games worthy of mention for this month, ordered by interest.
(Monthly US releases are only estimated, game may end up all hype and really suck)

Civilization V - strategy
It's Civ 5!  Aside from WoW, its one of the few great PC exclusives.  Has hex tiles, instead of square, no stacking, and many new features/updates.  I'm not really done with Civ 4, so maybe I'll give this a try next year.

Amnesia: The Dark Descent - Horror
This indie dev game gets back to the Survival Horror roots.  No Guns, very little light, all about the environment, and you ability to survive in it.

Dead Rising 2 - Shooter
This franchise is new to the PC, dev probably figured PC gamers are into zombie games (like duh).  Has campaign coop, so basically its a Resident Evil like game.  That's not a bad thing.

RUSE - RTS
A new take on the RTS WW2 genera.  Looks a bit like a table top game, but its real time.  Introduces tablet/touchpad gameplay.  Called Ruse due to its capability of faking out your opponent.  Reminds me of one of those twisted psych experiments in college.  Game has had many delays, developer has little RTS experience.

HAWX 2 - Flight arcade
The 1st of this title took some heat for making all the planes too similar.  If they mix it up better this time, this'll be a pretty good coop title.  PC version may only be digital DL.

Tropico 3 Gold Edition  - strategy (bundle)
Safe to say its Tropico 3 with the expansion.
