The Monthly List - April 2013

PC games worthy of mention for this month, ordered by my interest. (Monthly US releases are only estimated, game may end up all hype and really suck).

Age of Empires 2 - HD - RTS
PC Exclusive
This major update to the original AoE2, will include graphical and interface updates to all of the expansions.   In addition, its fully compatable with Steam networking, and Steam's workshop for mods.

Star Trek - shooter
Great, another reboot.  This game follows the new movie storylines, where you can coop as young Kirk and Spock.  Hint: don't die, otherwise we can't have all those cool old William Shatner episodes.

Dead Island: Riptide - shooter
This is the next chapter to the Dead Island story.  The first had pretty good concepts of leveling up, coop shooting, zombie smashing, campaign gameplay.  However, the bugs and rough controls made for a unpleasant experience.  If  Techland leans from mistakes, and fix the issues, this could be a good game.
