The List - November '09

PC games worthy of mention for this month, ordered by interest and I explain why.
(Monthly US releases are only estimated, game may end up all hype and really suck)
Holiday season part 2/2.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - FPS
I'm sure the single player will be rock solid as always. Infinity Ward is good at this stuff, no doubts. But rocking the PC by pulling the Custom Dedicated Server option, just don't seem right. Granted, they pulled the CoD branding, then put that back in too. Gamers could fight back by not buying, but last time PC gamers held on to their money...publishers just dropped the PC format.

Dragon Age: Origins - RPG
This is it, the supposedly Baldur's Gate successor. But wait, no multiplay coop? So its just another Mass Effect with swords and shields. Well, its a Bioware game, so story should be solid. Its a trilogy, so expect the series to continue...probably without all your loot and stats from the previous game. Spiritual Baldur's Gate its not. Quality RPG, it shall be.

Left 4 Dead 2 - FPS
Some like to call this, L4D1 in production form. I say, a company can do what it wants. As consumer, you get to decide. Unfortunately, we live in a world of DLC, reality TV, and over paid pop stars...all bad ideas, so maybe the consumer shouldn't decide. Okay, I regress. L4D2 is more pointless pray and spray gameplay. Perfect for those that can't dedicate over 10 minutes of continuous gaming at a time.

Torchlight - ARPG
Made from the original Diablo team. Created with an off-the-shelf engine, this game development time is considered warp speed to today's standards. So fast, when it came out in October, very little knew about its release, so I'll put it up as a November release. Its not clear how this game changes the ARPG genera. No multiplay.

Painkiller Resurrection - FPS
Well, this was silently released in October...but since no one knew that (not even their pre-order marketing), lets call it a November release. Liked the original, 2nd was meh. This time, they add coop. So think Serious Sam. Mindless pretty carnage.

LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues - Platformer
These are getting old, not much left to say on it, except this'll be the last one I post, that isn't in a bundle.
